Throughout the Bible, with every chapter of history, God gives us hope.
Throughout the Biblical history of Israel the people would get themselves into trouble.
The trouble came because they had ignored God; refused to listen to Him; and wouldn’t ask Him for help. With every situation God would tell them if they would repent and turn to Him, He, Almighty God would turn their situation around.
God would begin working immediately in their lives.
If you are in a fix—you,
like the Israelites have no doubt been ignoring God,
refusing to listen to Him, and to proud to ask for help.
Start now and pray this Psalm,
humble yourself and ask God Almighty for help.
Psalm 86:1-7
Bend down, O Lord, and
hear my prayer;
Answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
YOU ARE MY GOD.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
For I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord, for
I give myself to YOU.
O Lord, YOU are so good, so ready to forgive,
So full of unfailing love for all who ask
for your help. Listen closely to my prayer,
O Lord, hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble
And YOU will answer me.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen
