About our Believe God Discipleship Library
Cowboys work hard, practice hard, and play hard. There is always more to do. So who has time for God? Spending quality time with God is absolutely the most worthwhile decision you can make. But because of our pride, stubbornness, and selfishness, most of us think doing it our way is the best way. With these attitudes we miss the best that we can be---we need GOD!
The most humble, loving, obedient Christians have spent hours alone with God. Because they have been on their knees in fervent sincere prayer, worshiping Jesus with their hearts, and reading their Bible with an eagerness to learn, God has worked miracles in them.
With your Bible open, and a passion to hear from God, this discipleship library, Believe GOD will aid, encourage, and direct you! You, too, can live at peace with God, knowing your are forgiven and being filled with hope for your future.
We love you and we are praying for you!

HOW BELIEVE GOD CAME ABOUT
Several years ago, my husband Rick made an appointment with Focus on the Family to get some advice for our Western Meadows ministry. We met with Stan Johns, the head of ministry innovation. He was very cordial with us. He and his team spent several days with us. We were strongly encouraged to attempt to make this a nationwide ministry. He gave us specific instructions how to do that and said it would take two years. Stan encouraged me to find a way to duplicate my discipleship approach with women. I just looked at him like, “How is that going to happen?” Looking back, four years later, Believe GOD will do that.
Now, I have always been a person that likes a big challenge—reaching beyond myself, even feeling like I am in over my head. I like working ‘out of the box’ and not keeping the status quo with ‘that’s the way it has always been done.’ Also, for the 35 years I have been a Christian, I have been passionate about knowing God and His Word. I have been passionate about wanting to make an eternal difference in the lives of people. In addition, I have searched the Scriptures daily for hours praying and meditating. I like teaching others the Bible and watching how awesome Jesus Christ will work in their lives. God has given me a deep love for the western world, for cowboys and the women that love them.
The writing of Believe GOD was, and still is, a total GOD thing. I was working on a website and going through the steps Stan Johns had given us. Then the Holy Spirit started speaking to my heart and all of this God stuff started coming alive in new and deeper ways. I started writing. Then I wrote some more. When I had about 60 pages done, I showed my son-in-law what I was doing and his comment was, “No one does a Bible study this long; I don’t know how you are going to sell it.” So, I went to the Lord in prayer, and the answer I got was “write more”. So I kept writing.
In my mind there was no order to the articles, just random essays. More than once I was on my face praying; physically, lightly thumping my head on the floor telling the Lord, “I don’t know what you want me to do with this. I have never seen anything like what I think you are telling me.” And I kept writing and praying. Our prayer team has prayed weekly for six years for God to be glorified in this ministry and that He would use us greatly to help the hurting women of this world.
Then the Lord sent a published author into my life. She challenged me to include the intellectual woman into my target readers. She also encouraged me to self-publish Believe GOD. New challenges! For two years I wrote and organized Believe GOD into sections---Prayer, Bible Study, Teachings, Old Testament Examples, Western Insights, and Quotes. Then with 500 pages of text I started cutting and pasting it into chapters---God the Father, Jesus is Lord, Holy Spirit, Prayer, Repentance and others. Then I started going through thousands of pictures to find 600 to use in Believe GOD. Cowboys love picture books!
Agonizing details and hard learned lessons later, we have Believe GOD ready. I have prayed throughout this work that it will glorify God. I pray God is lifted up and many will be drawn to Him.
With God’s love,
For God so loved the world
that he gave
his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but
have eternal life.
