Maybe, just maybe, you feel like screaming HELP! It is a great thing to call to God for help. That is his business, helping, rescuing, protecting, saving. Over and over and over in the Bible God urges his people to call out to Him, for He wants to help us. It is when we don’t ask God for help, many times because we have too much pride, that life gets worse.
God promises us that “all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28) You may say you love God, but in the Bible part of loving God is the trust we put in him, our dependence on God, and our belief that He is our Savior. Part of loving God is to know that without Him being Lord and Master of our life, we really can do nothing. We at Western Meadows want you to experience the most exciting of all lives. The life of trusting in God with all of your heart, leaning not on your understanding, acknowledging him in all your ways, and letting him direct each of our paths; (Proverbs 3:4-5) is the greatest of all adventures! God loves us and has a great plan for our lives. God's plan for each of us is for good and not for destruction, a plan to give us a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Maybe you are at the end of your road and are realizing the need for something more. The "more" that all of us need, is found in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whatever your problems, Jesus is the answer. Whatever your need Jesus is enough. God is God Almighty, the maker of heaven and earth, and He has chosen to love us, and adopt us into his family. He wants to lavish upon us, His riches. It is more than awesome what God has planned for each of us. God tells us to repent—that means turn to Him, chose to live God’s way. Quit rationalizing why your way is better than God’s way and realize that there is no way any of us can be smarter than God. Go figure, He created us, He created everything, He holds everything together. At His word the entire universe can fall apart. He sees the beginning from the end, and we think we know better than God? Sometimes we don’t think clearly. Let’s consider God and his ways. This is the argument that turned me around over thirty years ago. “Come on, Judy, you aren’t smarter than the one who created you. Swallow your stinking pride, and realize that it is not all about you. It is all about Jesus and you are headed for a dismal dead end depending upon yourself.” I chose, those many years ago, to repent, to ask God for help. To accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and to try with all of my heart to follow, love, and obey God.
With all of our heart we at Western Meadows pray that each of you will make that same decision. We pray that Jesus Christ will become your Savior and Lord. We pray it will be a wholehearted commitment. This will be pleasing to Jesus Christ, for He has gone to heaven to prepare a place for each and everyone of us. When you make this decision wholeheartedly, then you have put yourself in a position to receive the blessings God pours out on all of His children.
Oh, may you taste and see how good God is and how deep is His love for you!!
